Seafood Produced in the Heart of the Okanagan

We will be operating an indoor, warm water recirculating aquaculture facility in Southern British Columbia. We will be raising warm water species of finfish for our local community, Canadian market and global export.

RAS Aquaculture

Recirculating Aquaculture Systems recirculate the water used within an aquaculture farm. This system uses less water to raise fish and allows the grower to prevent waste from being discharged into the environment. Our facility is designed to use advanced filtering technology and waste dewatering equipment to prevent any waste from leaving our farm and entering local lakes, streams or groundwater systems.

We will be using the sun to power most of our needs. We will capture the suns energy through photovoltaic solar panels as well as through our south facing glass ceilings. Our facility is designed to be a large thermal battery. Our main greenhouse will store thermal energy in the mass of concrete and soil beneath our greenhouse, as well as in the millions of gallons of water flowing within our facility. The well insulated and sealed shell of our structure will prevent excess heat from escaping into the night air.
